Greek Mythology - The Graces:
Thailis, Euphrosyne, and Aglaia are the three Greek goddesses of joy, charm and beauty, known as The Graces. Each Goddess had a specific quality. Thailis was the goddess of rejoicing, Euphrosyne was of festivity, and Aglaia was of Splendor. They lived upon Mount Olympus with their mother Eurynome, their father Zeus and his nine offspring.

The Graces were often found at banquets and ceremonies bringing joy and goodwill to all of the gods and mortals. On Mount Olympus, the Graces would sing to the gods and dance to the beautiful music that Apollo would make upon his lyre. The relaxation of it all greatly pleased the gods. The Graces were usually involved in the myths of Aphrodite, or the Muses. Their time was usually spent with these gods.

Aglaia, the youngest of the three Graces, was said to be the most beautiful. She had married Hephaestus, the craftsman among the gods. The marriage represented the agreement of The Graces' beauty with Hephaestus art skills. It was believed that The Graces now had the ability to create beautiful works of art.
